Spritz up your history on Rome's best walking tour. From the Vatican City through the cobbled streets of Rome. There's no better way to do it than with the world's favourite Italian cocktail. A Spritz!
Experience the beautiful cobbled streets of Rome with its ivy-filled buildings and the hidden churches and stories you thought you'd never find. This is the Rome locals know and live. To make it easy to find, we meet at Rome's most famous fortress, Castel Sant' Angelo. Located right by the Vatican. You'll be greeted with a Spritz. As we sip on our first Sprtiz of the journey, take in the breathtaking views of St Peter's Basilica over the river Tiber, on Rome's most daunting bridge. Ponte Sant'Angelo. Learn the dark history of this bridge and that surrounded the Popes for centuries. Death, desire and the political games that have shaped the world as we know it. Explore the local streets of Rome on what is still considered one of the most beautiful streets in the world, Via dei coronari. This road is lined with indie coffee shops and local wine bars and merchants so it's mostly untouched by mass tourism. And hopefully, is stays this way for long.: the most famous Piazza in the world, housing Bernini's most famous work, The Fountain of the Four Rivers. But before we arrive, we will stop off to enjoy a Limoncello ( one of Italy's most coveted drinks) , next to one of Rome's most beautiful churches and hidden squares! As darkness falls, we will make our way into Piazza Navona (of course, with a Spritz). As we stroll around this beautiful Piazza, you will learn about the most famous rivalry in Rome's history, Borromini vs Bernini, before heading to one of the best Italian cocktail bars for some delicious Italian cocktails. At 8.30 pm we will end the tour at Campo di Fiori. Rome's hub for nightlife, for you to continue your night
